The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed Ugandan referee Shamirah Nabadda to officiate the TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 quarter final clash between hosts Morocco and Senegal.
The highly anticipated encounter is scheduled to take place on Monday at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium in Rabat, with kick off set for 9:00 p.m. local time.
According to the list of match officials released by CAF, Nabadda will be assisted by Burundi’s Fides Bangurambona as Assistant Referee One, while Uganda’s Nancy Kasitu will serve as Assistant Referee Two.
Cameroon’s Innocentia Njang has been appointed as the fourth official, with Chad’s Ngarassoum Victorine serving as the reserve assistant referee.
For the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) operations, Zimbabwe’s Brighton Chimene will oversee the technology, while Zambia’s Lumbizai Musawa has been named the Assistant Video Assistant Referee (AVAR).
The quarter final promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the tournament as hosts Morocco battle Senegal for a place in the semi finals of Africa’s premier women’s football championship.
The winner of the encounter will advance to the last four and move a step closer to lifting the coveted continental title.
