As the belated Tokyo Olympics 2020 came to an end with the USA Olympic contingent clinging a total of 113 medals and finishing top on the medal table, the Team Nigeria contingents finished at position 74 with a paltry 2 medals won by Ese Brume and Blessing Oborodudu with their bronze and silver medals respectively.

Surprising enough, there are other Nigerian nationals who represented other countries and excelled at the Olympic games. These Nigerians secured far glimmering medals for the different countries that they represented at the Tokyo Olympic games.

1.  Desalu Eseosa was part of the Italian Men’s 4x100m quartet that won gold medals.

2. Chijindu Ujah representing Britain won a bronze medal in the men’s 4x100m games.

3. Ajomale Bolade of Team Canada clinched a gold medal in the men’s 4x100m.

4. Bam Adebayo was part of the all-successful United States basketball contingents.
