Nigeria international Victor Osimhen has been ranked among the world’s top five strikers by his former Galatasaray teammate, Przemyslaw Frankowski, who placed the Super Eagles forward alongside football stars Harry Kane and Erling Haaland.
Frankowski, who played with Osimhen during his spell in the Turkish Super Lig before joining French side Stade Rennais, praised the Nigerian striker’s relentless determination, work ethic and consistent hunger for goals, describing him as one of the finest forwards in world football.
Speaking in an interview with Polish outlet Onet, the Polish international said Osimhen’s mentality and preparation distinguish him from many elite attackers.
“Osimhen is a world class striker, maybe in the top five. The way he’s always prepared for the game and the hunger he has to score goals are truly impressive. I could go on and on about him,” Frankowski said.
Osimhen has continued to strengthen his reputation as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards following another outstanding campaign in Turkey. The Nigerian finished last season with 22 goals and eight assists across all competitions, reaffirming his status as one of the continent’s most sought after attackers.
Despite his remarkable goalscoring record, Osimhen remains at the centre of transfer speculation, with debates continuing over which European giants could secure his signature. While some analysts have questioned whether his playing style fits every top club, his aerial ability, physical presence, relentless pressing and clinical finishing have continued to earn widespread admiration.
Frankowski insisted that beyond his technical qualities, Osimhen’s confidence and winning mentality are what truly define him as an elite striker capable of thriving at the highest level.
Reflecting on his experience at Galatasaray, the Polish defender also spoke about sharing the dressing room with renowned stars such as Dries Mertens, Fernando Muslera and Osimhen, describing it as a surreal experience after previously watching them perform on television.
Meanwhile, Frankowski is focused on rebuilding his career with Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais after overcoming injury setbacks and is targeting a return to the Poland national team ahead of the UEFA Nations League fixtures later this year.
Osimhen’s latest recognition further cements his growing reputation as one of the world’s premier centre forwards, with his performances continuing to attract praise from teammates, opponents and football pundits across Europe.
