It was a worrisome day at the Copenhagen stadium, Denmark venue of the Euro 2020 fixture between Denmark and Finland. The Captain of the Danish National Team in an attempt to reach for the ball towards the touch line suddenly slumped and became unresponsive. Eriksen was immediately given CPR in a bid to restore him back. The situation raised immediate concerns from his teammates, home fans, opponents, his immediate family members and the Coach of the team.

As at the time of the report, the cause of the collapse could not be ascertained. In a swift response, UEFA, the organisers of the match instantly cancelled the match due to what it termed a “medical emergency”.

However, there have been worries from all fronts as many fear for the health of the Denmark star player. Luckily, the Danish football star was revived and is in stable conditions.
