Paris, September 22, 2025 — Barcelona star Aitana Bonmatí has claimed the Women’s Ballon d’Or for the third year in a row, solidifying her place as the dominant force in women’s football.
The Spanish midfielder’s latest triumph follows another glittering season in which she played a central role for both Barcelona and the Spanish national team.

Bonmatí was instrumental in Barcelona’s historic treble-winning campaign, helping the Catalan giants secure the Liga F title, the UEFA Women’s Champions League, and domestic cup honours. Her impact was felt not only in silverware but also in numbers, with four goals and five assists in the 2024/25 Champions League alone.
Her third consecutive victory underscores her consistency at the very top of the game, making her one of only a handful of players in football history — male or female — to achieve such a feat.
