Paris, September 22, 2025 — Paris Saint-Germain have been crowned Best Team of the Year at the prestigious Ballon d’Or awards held in Paris on Monday night, capping off what many consider the club’s greatest-ever season.
The French champions dominated both at home and abroad during the 2024/25 campaign, sweeping four major trophies — the Ligue 1 title, the Coupe de France, the UEFA Champions League, and the Trophée des Champions.
PSG also underlined their global credentials by reaching the final of the FIFA Club World Cup, reinforcing their reputation as one of football’s most formidable sides.
The award recognises the Parisian club’s evolution from domestic powerhouse to genuine European and global contender. Their UEFA Champions League triumph in Munich on May 31, 2025, where they defeated Inter Milan, was seen as the defining moment of their season.
The Ballon d’Or Best Team prize adds to PSG’s growing legacy, with football analysts describing the 2024/25 squad as one of the most balanced and lethal in modern European football.
