Going by the lyrics of a popular song, for those seeking admission to tertiary institutions in Nigeria, it is really a case of many rivers to cross. Case of moving from one hurdle to another where one navigates his way from system installed impediments to barricades and bumps.

It won’t really be misplaced to liken university admission seekers to participants in the popular Gulder Ultimate Search!
Right from the period of obtaining forms to writing JAMB examinations in their so-called centres where ‘system’ fails at the click of a button and endless wait for officials’ attention that amounts to looking for needle in haystack; admission seekers otherwise called JAMBITES are often at the receiving end and mercy of a system that lacks redress and solution for error.

If good luck and providence provides insurance from being a victim, another landmine awaits you from your desired destination through what they called POST-JAMB. Regardless of your scores and performance, nemesis of post jamb might put paid to your ambition.

And for majority of these JAMBITES that are privileged and favoured by the system, a place is often assured in their ‘school of choice’ or any other private institutions since deep pockets will be a major determinant at this level.

Indeed, University education admission seekers are programmed to bear heavy burden and yoke too strong for their fragile shoulders.
Nigeria University Admission: when would there be end to these man -made obstacles?
