Mes que un club! That’s the slogan of the Spanish giants, Barcelona FC but last night, they looked less than the firebrand club that had in the past caught the world’s imagination with its deft display of soccer artistry.
Barça, purveyors of that football acrobatics called Tiki-taka were last night out-tikitakaed by a German club that appeared determined to reclaimed the Champions League cup the last win seven years ago.
Bayern were simply the best team on that Barcelona night of horror. The Bavarians outclassed the Catalonians in every department of the game, enforcing an overwhelming swoop on Barça that was both unrelenting and devastating.
The fall-out left the world wondering what would become of genius superstar Messi after a night when his hegemony seemed threatened and a team that had to sack its manager after a night of astonishing debacle.
