The detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu appeared before an Abuja Federal High Court today amidst tight security.

Mr. Kanu arrived the court premises in a convoy of a Prado Jeep and two Hilux buses fully guarded by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS).

It would be recalled that the leader of the separatist group was initially arrested in 2017 and later granted bail in a judgment by Justice Binka Nyako to the tune of 100million with one of his sureties as the current Senator Abaribe.

He, however jumped bail and only re-arrested in 2021 after the joint efforts of the interpol and Nigerian security agents.
