It was was reported to be the fourth incident of its kinds within a space of six months in 2021, with the first one raring its ugly head on 1st April, 2021.

At about 12 noon on October 22, 2021, a fire incidence was reported to have broke out on Market street, Oko Baba in Ebute-Metta area of Lagos.
The Lagosian confirms that the inferno incidence is fast becoming a regular occurrence within the area populated by makeshift shelters and has led to destruction of properties. Businesses running into millions of naira are also crippled.

According to our sources, efforts of the men of the Federal Fire Service have yielded little result in combating the raging fire storm.
