The Lagos Business School (LBS), in collaboration with SIMS Nigeria Limited, has unveiled a new case study titled “Navigating Disruption and Forging Resilience,” focusing on strategies for Nigerian businesses to thrive in an increasingly volatile and uncertain economic environment.
The launch event, held on October 30, 2025, brought together academics, industry leaders, and business professionals to discuss how firms can adapt and sustain growth in today’s VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) world.
Speaking at the event, Professor Okechukwu Amah, who represented the Dean of LBS, praised SIMS Nigeria for its innovative spirit and enduring resilience, describing the company as a model for adaptive leadership in the Nigerian marketplace.
In his address, SIMS Nigeria CEO, Mr. Ik Eyisi, reflected on the company’s decades-long journey, sharing insights into how it has managed market disruptions, supply chain constraints, and evolving consumer demands while maintaining strong operational performance.
The case study, developed by LBS faculty in collaboration with SIMS Nigeria, will serve as a teaching and research tool aimed at helping business leaders and students understand real-world strategies for sustaining competitiveness in challenging times.
