The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has confirmed the abduction of two of its staff members in Ogun State.
In a statement released in Ibadan, the company said the incident occurred on April 29, 2026, expressing concern over the safety of the affected employees.
IBEDC disclosed that it is working closely with relevant security agencies to secure the safe release of the abducted staff, while also maintaining contact with their families and providing necessary support.
The company, however, stated that due to the sensitive nature of the situation and ongoing rescue efforts, further details could not be made public at this time. It assured that updates would be provided as developments unfold.
