Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has emphasized the need for sustainable financial solutions to drive grassroots development, particularly for those living below the poverty line. He made this call at LAPO Microfinancr Bank’s Half Year Review held at New Legacy Resort, Abeokuta. At the event were diverse stakeholders who gathered to assess the organization’s performance and strategize for the remainder of 2024.
Obasanjo commended LAPO’s commitment to empowering low-income earners, especially women, through microfinance and social intervention programs. He encouraged the organization to continue making a significant impact on the lives of many.
The review focused on LAPO’s initiatives aimed at empowering communities, including healthcare, agricultural support, and educational initiatives.
