Fidelity Bank Plc has secured approval from the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) to extend the deadline for publishing its audited financial statements for the half year ended June 30, 2026, to September 30.
The bank disclosed the development in a statement dated August 21, 2026, signed by its Company Secretary, Ezinwa Unuigboje.
According to the statement, the extension was granted because the audit of the bank’s first half 2026 financial statements is still being finalised.
Fidelity Bank said the completed accounts would subsequently be submitted to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) for the required regulatory approval before publication.
The bank noted that the extension granted by NGX is subject to obtaining the CBN’s regulatory approval for the audited half year financial statements.
The lender also informed shareholders and other stakeholders that its trading window remains closed for insiders and connected persons.
The restriction, according to the bank, will remain in effect until 24 hours after the publication of the H1 2026 audited financial statements.
The extension gives Fidelity Bank until September 30 to conclude the audit process, secure the necessary regulatory approval and publish its audited financial statements for the period.
The development comes as listed companies continue to comply with regulatory requirements governing the preparation, approval and publication of financial statements on the Nigerian capital market.
