On Saturday, May 28, 2022, roads led to the Ijebu Ijesha, the country home of one of Nigeria’s veteran musician, saxophonist and composer.

The visiting hordes of sympathisers drawn from all walk of life converged on the ancient town to pay tribute and bid farewell to Chief (Dr.) Julius Aremu Orlando Julius as his remains is committed to mother earth.

At the commemoration service well attended by array of stars, friends and fans of the fallen musical hero, there was an outpouring of tributes.

Performing in songs also at the ongoing church service were: Multi-instrumentalist TeeMac, powerful vocalist Yinka Davis and keyboardist David Iyiola Timileyin.

The late Orlando Julius will no doubt be missed for his numerous contributions to music development in Nigeria and later forged a working partnership across the shores of the country. The super star left behind a rich library of great compositions and recordings.
