The council chairman in Amuwo Odofin Local Government, is a man who leaves no stone unturned in his domain.
His zero tolerance to bad roads in the local government is second to none.
Now, similar to his commitment when he self- funded and filled the deep cuts on the second avenue Alakija road in Festac Town during his electioneering period, with hard cores, rubbles and granites, Prince Lanre Sanusi has taken another strategic step in administering massive palliatives on the age – long damaged roads in some critical parts of the Festac Town.
Among the area under Prince Lanre Sanusi ‘s zero tolerance to potholes and deep cuts on Festac roads are the 21 road through 311, 322 roads, 5th avenue and 4th avenue roads which are presently being attended to.
Under a heavy monitoring and thorough supervision of the filling of the potholes in these strategies points within the town, the council chairman has never downplayed on his doggedness and unrepentant determination towards seeing Festac roads bounce back and to measure up with the standard of the roads applicable to other advanced African Estates.
Aside the filling of the potholes and levelling of the roads as a palliative measure in Festac Town pending the time the major road rehabilitation will commence in Amuwo Odofin, it is noteworthy to mention that the local government chairman has also awarded some major roads in Festac Town for both completion and rehabilitation.
Recall that Prince Lanre Sanusi was instrumental to the facilitation of the award of contract on the construction of the neglected 2nd and 7th long stretches and roads.
Part of the major roads awaiting rehabilitation immediately the rain subsides in the Festac area of the local government area includes the re- habilitation of 52 road, 5th Avenue and 51 road in Festac Town. The duration of the work is within 7 weeks on job commencement , completion of the re- habilitation of 23 road in Festac Town, rehabilitation and electrification of Agboju market road and Agboju Express Road( already reported), spanning the period of 4 weeks on job commencement , rehabilitation of the 2nd Avenue road from Agboju to Zenith Bank before 1st Gate in Festac Town and the second part of the 2nd avenue road from Agboju to Alakija to be completed and the re – construction of 4th avenue road after the road palliatives currently ongoing in the area.
Given the above submission, one can conveniently attest to the genuine mind the council chairman has in maintaining his words and matching them with actions on the promise made to the Amuwo electorate and now being actualized.
