Turkish champions Galatasaray have reportedly turned down a €120 million offer from Atlético Madrid for Nigerian international Victor Osimhen, reaffirming their determination to retain the prolific striker ahead of the new season.
According to reports from Turkish media, Atlético Madrid submitted a bid worth €120 million for the Super Eagles forward, a fee that would have represented a record transfer deal for the Istanbul-based club. However, Galatasaray reportedly rejected the proposal outright, signaling that the Nigerian star remains a central figure in the club’s long-term plans.
Sources indicated that the Turkish champions were unequivocal in their response to the Spanish side’s approach, reportedly informing Atlético Madrid that Osimhen is not for sale.
Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli last summer in a deal valued at €75 million and has since become one of the club’s most influential players. His performances have further enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s leading strikers, attracting interest from several top clubs across the continent.
The rejection of Atlético Madrid’s offer suggests that Galatasaray value the Nigerian international well above the amount offered and are unwilling to part with him despite growing interest from elite European teams.
