Vice President Kashim Shettima, alongside former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, has arrived in Anambra State ahead of the second-term inauguration of Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
The dignitaries arrived at the Chinua Achebe Airport in Umueri on Tuesday, according to a video shared by the Anambra State New Media team.
Their arrival comes ahead of the inauguration ceremony scheduled to take place at the newly renovated Alex Ekwueme Square.
Governor Soludo, who was re-elected on November 8, 2025, under the platform of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, is set to begin his second term in office amid widespread political and traditional support.
The event is expected to attract several high-profile personalities, including traditional rulers from Anambra’s 179 communities as well as monarchs from other parts of the country.
Security has been significantly strengthened across the state, with personnel from the Nigeria Police Force, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Federal Road Safety Corps and other agencies deployed to strategic locations to ensure the safety of guests and residents during the ceremony.
