The City Boy Movement has commenced the distribution of fasting relief packages across the 36 states of Nigeria to support citizens observing Ramadan and Lent.
The initiative is being championed by the Grand Patron of the movement, Seyi Tinubu, and is aimed at providing practical assistance to Muslim and Christian communities during the sacred periods of prayer, fasting and reflection.
In a statement issued on Monday in Lagos, the Director-General of the movement, Oluwatosin Shoga, described the outreach as a demonstration of unity and service-driven leadership.
According to him, the Ramadan and Lenten seasons highlight shared national values such as sacrifice, generosity and compassion. He noted that the nationwide distribution reinforces the belief that national progress is strengthened when communities support one another.
Shoga explained that the relief materials are being distributed through coordinated state chapters to ensure broad coverage and effective grassroots engagement. The programme spans both urban and rural communities, reflecting the movement’s commitment to inclusivity and nationwide civic responsibility.
He added that the initiative aligns with the organisation’s broader advocacy for youth engagement and community development across Nigeria.
The City Boy Movement reaffirmed its commitment to promoting hope and opportunity for citizens through purposeful action, civic engagement and community-based initiatives during the fasting season.
