Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has received the management of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO), led by the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Samuel Gbadebo Odewumi, on a courtesy visit at the Government House in Uyo.
The visit provided an opportunity for engagement between the state government and the leadership of the federal university, as discussions focused on strengthening cooperation and fostering institutional development.
Governor Eno was joined in receiving the delegation by the Deputy Governor, Senator Akon Eyakenyi; the Secretary to the State Government, Prince Enobong Uwah; the Executive Assistant and Chief Delivery Adviser, Mr Aniefiok Johnson; members of the State Executive Council; and other senior government officials.
The University of Uyo delegation comprised members of the institution’s top management, including the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellors for Administration and Academics, the Registrar, the Bursar, and the University Librarian.
The courtesy visit underscores the ongoing collaboration between the Akwa Ibom State Government and tertiary institutions within the state, aimed at promoting academic excellence and sustainable development.
