In life, the warnings we ignore are the very ones meant to save us. As Yoruba says, “Tí ẹni bá ń sùnwọ̀n, kì í gbọ́”…when pride takes over, listening fades away. Wisdom often comes through correction, guidance, and even uncomfortable truths, but arrogance can blind us to all of it. Stay humble enough to listen because a listening heart is what keeps a person from falling into avoidable mistakes.
