The United States Mission in Nigeria has partnered with talent and marketing communications agency PenzaarVille Africa to train more than 100 emerging Nigerian digital creators on building influential brands and generating income from online content.
The training was conducted through a virtual workshop titled “From Content to Influence: Building a Creator Brand on U.S. Platforms,” which brought together aspiring content creators and emerging influencers to explore strategies for growing their audiences and turning their creative work into sustainable businesses.
Participants received insights into building digital brands, engaging audiences and monetising content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube and X.
Speakers at the workshop included US Government exchange programme alumna Miss Techy and digital creators Layi Wasabi and Ariyiikedimples, who shared experiences and practical lessons from their work in content creation and audience development.
The United States Mission was represented by Public Affairs Officer Julie McKay and Mission Spokesperson Nicole Holler, who highlighted the opportunities available to Nigerian creators through US based digital platforms.
They noted that these platforms could enable creators to reach international audiences, earn revenue from their creativity, establish sustainable businesses and convert their online influence into economic opportunities.
The initiative reflects growing interest in the digital economy as a source of employment and entrepreneurship for young Nigerians, particularly through content creation, audience engagement and online business development.
