A new opinion poll in the United Kingdom has ranked Kemi Badenoch as the most popular political party leader in the country.
According to the survey conducted by More in Common, Badenoch recorded a net approval rating of minus nine, marking a significant improvement from her previous rating of minus 32 prior to her party’s conference in October last year.
Badenoch, a British politician of Nigerian descent who currently leads the Conservative Party, ranked ahead of Nigel Farage, who scored minus 16, and Ed Davey, who recorded minus 11.
The poll also placed Keir Starmer at the bottom of the rankings with a minus 42 approval rating. He trailed other political figures, including Green Party’s Zack Polanski, who scored minus 16.
Analysts attributed Badenoch’s improved rating to her increasing visibility and recent political engagements, which have boosted public recognition.
Commenting on the findings, the UK Director of More in Common, Luke Tryl, noted that Badenoch’s profile has risen significantly in recent months, with even some non-Conservative supporters expressing admiration for her approach and communication style.
Despite her personal gains in popularity, the poll indicated that the Conservative Party has not yet experienced a corresponding increase in overall public support.
