A governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, has expressed confidence that the achievements of President Bola Tinubu within less than three years in office will ensure victory for the party in next year’s governorship election in the state.
Falobi made this known on Thursday after a consultation meeting with members of the APC State Executive Committee at the party’s secretariat in Osogbo. He maintained that Tinubu’s policies and reforms have revitalized the economy and set Nigeria on a path of sustainable growth and development.
According to him, there has been a widespread misunderstanding about the President’s performance at both the national and sub-national levels.
“There’s a lack of proper understanding of how much President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has achieved,” Falobi said. “In just two and a half years, he has done marvelously well. He inherited a completely run-down country, yet he has worked tirelessly despite sabotage. We are now at a turning point.
“In a few months, as Aliko Dangote also predicted, the dollar rate will drop, food prices will stabilize, and things will improve. The President is confronting challenges across all sectors, and his efforts are already yielding results. I am very positive that in Osun and across Nigeria, the APC will win — I have no doubt about it. The President has turned the economy around.”
Speaking on his visit to the party secretariat, Falobi explained that it was part of his efforts to consult with the party structure in line with its internal principles as he continues to drive his governorship ambition.
He further disclosed that he had earlier met with APC chairmen from local government areas and Local Council Development Authorities across the state to strategize on mobilizing grassroots support for his candidacy.
