In a statement on Sunday, George Akume, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), reassured Nigerians that President Bola Tinubu is genuinely dedicated to their well-being. Akume acknowledged the current economic challenges but emphasized that Tinubu remains steadfast in implementing economic policies to uplift the nation’s struggling economy.

Speaking at a Thanksgiving Mass organized in his honor by the St. Augustine Catholic Tiv Community, Abuja Archdiocese, in Nyanya, Abuja, Akume conveyed that the ongoing economic difficulties are temporary. He highlighted President Tinubu’s commitment to revitalizing the economy, emphasizing that the inherited distressed state is being addressed with the aim of fostering greater prosperity for all Nigerians.
