President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Kabiru Masari, a close ally, as Special Adviser on Political Affairs.
Masari was initially appointed in 2023 as Senior Special Assistant on Political Affairs by the president before his latest promotion.
The Katsina-born politician previously served as Welfare Secretary of the All Progressives Congress during the tenure of Senator Adams Oshiomhole as the party’s national chairman.
In his new role, Masari will work alongside Alhaji Yau Darazo, who was appointed Special Adviser on Political Affairs by President Tinubu in July 2023.
The appointment is seen as part of efforts to strengthen the administration’s political coordination and engagement across the country.
