President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday joined Muslim faithful at the Eid prayer ground in Dodan Barracks to mark the celebration of Eid al-Fitr.
The President’s participation in the prayers followed his return to Nigeria after concluding a two-day state visit to the United Kingdom at the invitation of the British government.
Tinubu and his wife, First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in the early hours of Friday.
He was received on arrival by top government officials, including Lagos State Deputy Governor Femi Hamzat, Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila, and Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, alongside other party stakeholders.
In his Eid message earlier, the President urged Nigerian Muslims to uphold the values of Ramadan, emphasising piety, compassion and unity.
He called on citizens to sustain the virtues of selflessness, perseverance and kindness beyond the holy month, noting that such values are essential to national cohesion and progress.
