The President acknowledged the governor’s efforts in key sectors, including health, education and infrastructure, as well as what he described as a revolution in agriculture that has earned him the nickname “farmer governor.”
According to the statement, Tinubu joined the governor’s family, friends and political associates in celebrating the occasion, noting that birthdays provide an opportunity for reflection and renewed dedication to service.
“President Bola Tinubu congratulates Mohammed Umaru Bago, Governor of Niger State, on his birthday and lauds his courage, diligence, and commitment to the state’s development,” the statement read.
The President further stated that Bago’s background in the banking sector and his previous service as a member of the House of Representatives had equipped him for the demanding responsibilities of leading Niger State.
Tinubu expressed confidence that the governor would continue to deliver purposeful and dynamic leadership for the benefit of the people of the state and the nation at large.
