President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated former Lagos State Deputy Governor, Princess Sarah Adebisi Sosan, on her 70th birthday, commending her longstanding record of public service and commitment to national development.
In a statement issued on Wednesday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President joined family, friends, and associates of the former deputy governor in celebrating what he described as a life dedicated to service and faith.
President Tinubu reflected on Sosan’s career, noting that she began her professional journey as a classroom teacher, where she impacted young minds and promoted the value of education.
He also highlighted her tenure as Deputy Governor of Lagos State from 2007 to 2011 during the administration of former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola. The President further acknowledged her current role as Lagos State’s representative at the Federal Civil Service Commission.
According to Tinubu, Sosan served with distinction and integrity while in office and worked harmoniously with the governor to advance the socio-economic development of Lagos State.
“Serving people comes naturally to her. As deputy governor of Lagos, Sosan served with distinction and integrity. She worked harmoniously with Governor Fashola and was resolutely committed to the socio-economic development of Lagos State,” the statement quoted the President as saying.
President Tinubu offered prayers for her continued good health and many more years of impactful service to the nation.
