The school children of Agboyi-Ketu LCDA locked horns in the most competitive educational contest in Lagos State. The Spelling Bee competition for this year has been exciting and fiercely competitive. September 25, 2025 was the day of the concluding contest among the finalists at Agboyi-Ketu LCDA. The winners will represent the LCDA at the State Competition.

The Executive Chairman; Hon. Adetola Abubakar was on ground to cheer on the children and reward them for their brilliance. In her opening speech, she noted that education is a primary focus of her administration and that she will leave no stone unturned in ensuring the utmost welfare and quality education of the children of Agboyi-Ketu. She enjoined them to study hard for their future and make their parents, Agboyi-Ketu and the nation proud. Her bonding with the children was special and everyone was in high spirits going into the competition.

The competition was stiff! The spelling bees were buzzing in brilliance and confidence. You would be amazed at the complex words that little children of Primary School age were spelling successfully. But at the end, winners must emerge…

The Winners of this Year’s Spelling Bee Competition in Agboyi Ketu LCDA are as follows:
Nursery and Primary Section
1st Position: Godwin Delight of Anglican Nursery and Primary School Odo Ogun Ajegunle.
2nd Position: Abdulsalam Baraka of Pastor Adegboyega Memorial Nursery & Primary School Ketu.
3rd Position: Maryyar Christopher of Pastor Adegboyega Memorial Nursery & Primary School, Ketu
Junior Secondary School Winners 🏆
1st position: Godwin Peter of Kosofe Junior College, Kosofe
2nd position: Godwin Emmanuel of Comprehensive Junior High School, Alapere.
3rd Position: Arowolo Gbenga of Comprehensive Junior High School Kosofe.
Senior Secondary School Winners 🏆
1st position: Soewu Oluwadabira of Community Senior High School Kosofe
2nd Position: Akotha Goodluck of Community Senior High School Kosofe
3rd Position: Adeosun Grace of Kosofe Senior College.
At the end of the competition, there were certificates and prizes for the proud winners and the rest of the pupils were delighted to receive precious educational gifts from their mother; Hon. Adetola Adunni Abubakar.

The above listed winners will be groomed and prepared to represent Agboyi-Ketu at the Lagos State level and the mother-general confidently declared with all assurance that Aboyi-Ketu is winning the State Competition!
