When TB Joshua and his entourage stormed the country of South Sudan in late 2019, on the special invitation of that country’s President Salva Kiir, millions of Africans watched with the hope that the young, rich but greatly troubled nation was at last on the brink of peace and progress. The hope was hinged on the pedigree of this August visitor who is known to have helped many other nations in finding peace and succor after years of turmoil. The visit of TB Joshua, after all had brought immense blessings to such nations.

During that auspicious visit, TB Joshua prayed for lasting peace in South Sudan, prophesying that in no distant future, the elusive peace would finally come to the nation. On Saturday 22nd February 2020, that prophet finally came to pass. South Sudan has now witnessed the creation of a unity government with once bitter rivals President Salva Kiir Mayardit and opposition leader Riek Machar eventually signing a peace deal.
“I want to tell the people of South Sudan that all the changes that are taking place right now are to bring peace and not changes that will bring conflict again because we are tired of conflict,” President Kiir announced at the occasion. He also used the event to officially appoint Machar as Vice President in the new government.

Kiir and Machar -Friends Again

For a war that has lasted months and claimed an estimated 400,000 lives peace had looked so impossible to achieve.

Previous attempts to form a unity government had failed woefully and at a time a total disintegration of the country was imminent. That was when the leadership decided to invite TB Joshua who is internationally respected as an apostle of peace and very strong voice of divine wisdom. The President and his people wanted the Man of God to intercede on their behalf and pray for lasting peace.

It is believed by many that TB Joshua’s advice to the nation’s leaders to exercise restraint and allowed compromise to rule over ego. Kiir and the warring leaders obviously needed the advise with all sides making concessions, making the unity government possible. TB Joshua’s words of prophesy during his visit to Juba the capital on November 12 2019 is now the talk of the town throughout Africa and the rest of the world.

According to the Nigerian Pastor in a national address at the Presidential Palace, broadcast live on South Sudan’s state television,
“I am here to prophesy to the nation. If I am a prophet, this will not go without fulfilment.”
“This country is going to enter a new beginning – whether you like it or not, whether I like it or not,” Joshua continued. Boldly, he told his audience, “Your agreement does not matter to what God is about to do and you cannot stand in the way of the Lord.”
“Time has come for us to put our differences behind us. Our leaders, we should overcome our divisions and agree to work together – for the good of this country,” Joshua further declared.

Millions of South Sudanese citizens are still in cloud seven regarding this fulfilled prophesy. According to a citizen Gum Thany on Facebook, “It is the high time South Sudanese should embrace Prophet TB Joshua for his prophecy has come to pass about our nation. Imagine our leaders made historical concessions for the first time just for the sake of peace and this is being coupled with showers of rain in Juba in the middle of dry season,” he added.

After many failed hopes before the advent of TB Joshua, including attempts by even The Vatican to bring about truce during a meeting with Pope Francis in Vatican City where he famously kissed the warring leaders feet, this breakthrough has further raised the profile of the Nigerian prophet worldwide.
