The Supreme Court has dismissed the appeal filed by Ahmed Aliyu, Gubernatorial Candidate of the APC challenging the election of Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State in last year’s elections.
In a unanimous decision the court ruled that the appeal of Aliyu lacked merit.
In a similar decision, the Supreme Court also upheld the election of Governor Ganduje of Kano State.
