It was yet another historic plenary session on the floor of the Nigerian Senate as the Motion for recommittal†sponsored by the Senate Leader Yahaya Abdullahi (Kebbi North) was passed into law by the Upper Chamber.
By this motion sponsored by the Kebbi state Senator, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are empowered by law to transmit electronically results of elections.
Recall that the Electoral Act No. 6, 2010 (Repeal and re-enactment) Bill, 2021 was passed by the Senate and the House of Representatives.
