The General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan fsin has been commended for the giant strides attained in the rebranding of the Agency.

While on a courtesy call on the Management of the Agency at its Headquarters, the Multi Agency Complex, Bolade Oshodi, the Management and Board members of the PCRC led by Apostle Kehinde Sowemimo appreciated the efforts of Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan fisn at redefining Community policing in the State.

Apostle Sowemimo said the police was use as an instrument of oppression during the colonial period and this informed the reason for the formation of the PCRC to assist the Police in ensuring the understanding and collaboration of the people.

He further said the LNSC is a novel arrangement to bring policing to the people and affirmed that the current LNSA-led by Ifalade Oyekan is perfecting the idea.

In his response, Prince Dr Ifalade Oyekan fsin thanked the Governor, Mr Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu for the vision of a proactive community based policing organisation that lays emphasis on safety as the pivot of a safer and more secured community.

Ifalade thanked the members of the Board and Management of the PCRC for the visit as they have demonstrated willingness to continue to be an important part of the Lagos State Security architecture.

The General Manager said, “the Agency’s strongest weapon is the people, that’s why we are the frontline intelligence agency in the State, providing verifiable intelligence for the other sister agancies operating in the State and we will continue to use collaboration as a viable weapon against the criminals and undesirable elements”.

Ifalade cited the recent invitation of the Government of Gambia and the visit of the Delta State Security Trust Fund as some efforts of the Agency to expand its collaboration efforts towards the escalation of the world Governor’s THEME Plus Agenda.
