Joy, Thanksgiving as Hundreds of Thousands Witness Historic Ordination at Redemption City
It was a day of immense joy, thanksgiving and spiritual celebration as Pastor Eniola Babafemi Ojewusi was ordained a full Pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
The ordination took place at the magnificent Auditorium of Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State, amid an atmosphere charged with worship, prayers, thanksgiving and jubilation.
The memorable ceremony, witnessed by hundreds of thousands of worshippers who gathered at Redemption City for the closing activities of the 74th RCCG Annual Convention, marked a significant milestone in the life and ministry of Pastor Ojewusi.
The 2026 RCCG Annual Convention, themed “Mountain Movers,” held from August 3 to 9 at Redemption City and attracted worshippers from Nigeria and across the world.
For Pastor Ojewusi, however, the final day of the convention carried a deeply personal and unforgettable significance.
As his name was presented for ordination and he stood before the altar, surrounded by thousands upon thousands of worshippers, the moment became one of profound spiritual significance.
