Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has arrived in Jigawa State on an official visit to commission major infrastructure, education and healthcare projects aimed at advancing development and improving the quality of life for residents.
The First Lady arrived at Dutse International Airport at about 11:00 a.m. on Monday before proceeding to Hadejia Local Government Area, where she is scheduled to inaugurate two major roads named after Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
The road projects form part of the Jigawa State Government’s efforts to strengthen transportation infrastructure, stimulate economic activities and improve accessibility within the rapidly expanding Hadejia axis.
As part of her visit, the First Lady is also expected to commission two landmark projects—the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Future Academy and the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Clinic.
The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Future Academy is designed to equip young people with modern skills, innovation opportunities and educational support needed to thrive in a knowledge-driven economy, while the Senator Oluremi Tinubu Clinic is expected to enhance access to quality healthcare services, particularly for women, children and other members of the community.
The projects underscore the Jigawa State Government’s continued investment in critical sectors including infrastructure, education and healthcare, which are considered essential to sustainable development, economic growth and improved living standards across the state.
The visit highlights ongoing collaboration between the Federal Government and Jigawa State in promoting initiatives aimed at expanding access to quality public services and accelerating socio-economic development.
