A coalition of Self-determination agitators operating under the auspices of the Nigerian Indigenous Nationalities Alliance for Self-Determination (NINAS) have insisted to go ahead with the planned final phase of its proposed one-million-man freedom march at the United Nations headquarters in New York, the United States on Friday (today).

The proposed rally march coincides with the day (Friday) when President Muhammadu Buhari will be addressing the UN General Assembly at the 76th session of the gathering of all world leaders.
This was made known to the newsmen by NINAS Director of Communications, Maxwell Adeleye who alleged that the Federal Government is planning of sponsoring a counter-protest at the United Nations Headquarters the same day.

He alleged that the hired protesters will be paid a sum of $500 by the Federal Government. According to the NINAS spokesman, these individuals are black foreigners living in the United States of America.

Similarly, the Secretary-General of NINAS, Tony Nnadi, a representative of the Lower Niger Congress and Prof. Yusuf Turaki of the Middle-Belt Movement have called on the UN to save Nigerian situation from deteriorating into full-blown crisis.
