Youths in Èbúté Meta, Lagos Mainland Local Government of Lagos State, under the umbrella of Mainland Youths for Sanwo’s Second Term ( MYSST) have begun grassroot mobilisation for actualisation of the second term agenda of His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, and Hon. Ajani Owolabi’s return to the Lagos State House of Assembly.

Bothered by the slim win of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government following the presidential election and the low turn out of voters in general, the youths resolved to work assiduously for the victory of the party in the coming election.

Musing that synergy between the two major groups (New Vision headed by Alao Monsuru Owolabi and Mainland Voice led by Hon. Rasheedat Omolola Esien, the Lagos Mainland Local Government Chairperson ) within the party is pivotal for a landslide win on Saturday, 11th March, MYSST decided to invite the leadership of the two groups to the Lagos/ Odunfa streets Community Development Association meeting for strategic moves.

On Saturday 4th of March , 2023, Honourable Ajani Owolabi in the company of Hon. Tajudeen Agoro and other APC leaders in the local government responded to questions from the youths and assured them of programs capable of developing the society. While speaking, Hon. Owolabi pleaded with the youths to be patient with him, promised to fix the borehole in the community and assured the youths of working with them for the victory on Saturday.

Also at the meeting was the Ward I Councilor, Honourable George Fadodun.

In an interview with one of the party faithfuls at the meeting, Adéwálé Adejare, he said, ” both group must come together if we really want to help the governor and our honourable.”

MYSST hopes to meet with the chairperson of the local government , as the mother of all, before Saturday, 11th March, 2023, for a clear action plan.
