The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has congratulated the newly elected executives of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos State following the party’s 2026 State Congress.
The congress, held on March 3 at the Mobolaji Johnson Stadium on Lagos Island, produced a new set of executives, with Cornelius Ojelabi re-elected as the state chairman.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Dave Agboola, Obasa commended the peaceful and transparent conduct of the exercise. He described Ojelabi’s re-election as a demonstration of the confidence and trust party members have in his leadership.
Obasa said Ojelabi had shown dedication and vision in managing the affairs of the party in the state and noted that his return as chairman reflected recognition of his efforts to strengthen the APC in Lagos.
The Speaker urged the newly elected executives to work collectively to consolidate the party’s achievements, deepen internal democracy and promote unity among members. He added that the Lagos APC should continue to serve as a model of progressive governance and political stability in the country.
Obasa also congratulated delegates and stakeholders who participated in the congress, stressing that their commitment remains crucial to sustaining the party’s success.
