The All Progressives Congress in Kogi State has released the names of candidates who emerged from the party’s House of Representatives primary elections conducted across the state on May 16, 2026.
In a statement issued by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Hamzat Isa-Amoka, the APC said the primaries were conducted peacefully, transparently and credibly, with active participation from party members.

According to the party, Sanni Ogembe emerged as the candidate for the Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, while Muhammed Yusuf secured the ticket for Adavi/Okehi Federal Constituency.
Sanni Abdulraheem also emerged as the party’s candidate for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
For Lokoja/Koton-Karfe Federal Constituency, Danladi Aguye clinched the APC ticket, while Salman Idris emerged as the candidate for Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency.

The party also announced Leke Abejide as its candidate for Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopa-Muro Federal Constituency, while Abdullahi Ibrahim secured the ticket for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
Paul Gowon emerged as the APC candidate for Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, while Victor Ojogbane won the ticket for Idah/Igalamela/Ofu/Ibaji Federal Constituency.

The party congratulated all successful candidates and described the outcome of the primaries as a reflection of growing internal democracy within the APC in Kogi State.
It also urged members to remain united and work together ahead of the 2027 general elections.
