The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, held a strategic revenue meeting with all Area Officers and Revenue Officers across the LCDA, as part of his ongoing efforts to strengthen and reposition the council’s revenue administration.

During the meeting, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo reiterated that the revamp of the Onigbongbo revenue system remains one of his administration’s top priorities. He emphasized that plans are already in motion to fully digitalise the revenue system, in line with the directive mandating all local councils in Lagos State to adopt digital revenue collection processes for transparency, efficiency, and accountability.

Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo further disclosed that the council is exploring the deployment of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members to support the revenue team, particularly in enumeration and data collection, to ensure accurate records and improved revenue planning.
The Chairman charged all revenue and area officers to approach their responsibilities with renewed seriousness, dedication, and professionalism, noting that effective revenue generation is critical to delivering impactful governance and community development.

In an interactive session during the meeting, Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo asked the officers to identify tools needed to enhance their efficiency. The officers collectively requested laptops to aid their operations and support the transition to a digital revenue system. In a swift response, the Chairman immediately approved and granted the request, assuring them that laptops would be provided to the area offices to strengthen their capacity and productivity
