The Executive Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Moyosore Adebanjo, has launched a ‘Back to School Initiative’ to provide massive educational support for pupils and strengthen the foundation of education within the Onigbongbo LCDA.

At the event, Head of Department for Education, Mrs. Bola-Rotimi Olayinka, described the initiative as a solid and timely intervention for students and commended Hon. Moyosore for his forward-thinking approach and dedication to the welfare of children within the LCDA.

In his keynote address, Hon. Moyosore warmly welcomed all distinguished guests, including the party LGA Chairperson, Councillors, Chief of Staff, ward leaders, party leaders, teachers, and students.

He charged the pupils to remain focused in their studies and complement the efforts of their parents, who continually strive to provide for their education and well-being.
According to him, the ‘Back to School’ Initiative is designed to support parents by reducing the financial burden of providing essential school materials such as school bags, uniforms, among others.

Hon. Moyosore also encouraged the students to be disciplined and diligent as proud ambassadors of Onigbongbo LCDA. He assured them that the next edition of the program will be “bigger and better.”

He extended his appreciation to his Vice-Chairman and the Head of the Education Department for organizing what he described as a solid and eventful program in the interest of the students.

The event reached a touching moment when Daniel Alimi, a student of Central Primary School and the winner of the just-concluded Spelling Bee Competition, delivered a heartfelt remark on behalf of all the pupils.
He thanked the Chairman for his continuous efforts and prayed for God’s blessings and wisdom upon his administration
