Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has suspended the Commissioner for Health, Alhaji Yunusa Musa Ismail, over allegations of negligence of duty and disregard for official responsibilities.
A statement issued from Government House on Thursday confirmed that the suspension takes immediate effect, pending the outcome of a formal review.
The governor directed the commissioner to provide reasons why disciplinary measures should not be taken against him, stressing that accountability and diligence remain central to his administration’s priorities.
Governor Idris reiterated his government’s resolve to uphold discipline and effective service delivery across all sectors, warning that public officers must justify the trust placed in them.
The suspension will remain in place until further notice.
