As the primary elections of the All Progressives Congress (APC) draws closer, one of the “hopefuls” and former president, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, is reportedly missing on the final lists of the presidential aspirants.
Recall that in April 2022, a group of supporters made a public appeal to Fmr. President to join in the race for the number one position in the country.
The group at GEJ’s Abuja residence solicited that he contest the 2023 presidential election, Jonathan had not given a definite response.
A northern coalition later purchased the APC presidential expression of interest and nomination forms on his behalf.
A Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State last Friday declared that Jonathan is eligible and “constitutionally” qualified to contest for president in 2023.
Although Dr. Jonathan is yet to make known a formal stand.
