“And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone that is indebted to us” teaches that asking God for mercy while refusing to forgive others creates a conflict within the heart; many pray for forgiveness yet hold grudges, smiling outwardly but hurting others behind their backs through words or actions. True faith is not shown by appearance or prayers alone but by releasing offence and choosing grace because the forgiveness we receive from God is closely tied to the forgiveness we willingly give to others.
