The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed a fire outbreak at Terminal 1 of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos.
In a statement issued on Monday, FAAN said its firefighting team swiftly responded to the incident and is working to contain the situation.
The authority assured the public that emergency response measures were immediately activated to prevent the fire from spreading to other parts of the terminal.
FAAN also confirmed that no loss of life has been recorded as a result of the incident.
Further details on the cause of the fire and the extent of damage were yet to be disclosed at the time of filing this report.
