The people of Ijagbo in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State and guests from far and near were in high spirit on the 27th May, 2022 as farewell services were held for Pa Ayodele Adisa Bertie Fatunbi, father of the Editor of The Lagosian Magazine.

The moving celebration of life culminated in a réquiem service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Immanuel Parish, Kwara Province 2 and, later, a posh entertainment of guests at the Olora Hall of the same town.

Pa Ayodele Fatunbi left this sinful world to meet with the Lord on the 23rd March, 2022 at the age of 74.

Until his retirement in 2012, he was a seasoned teacher who taught in schools in both Lagos and Kwara States.

Pa Fatunbi was described as a friend of all whose consideration for others knew no bound.

He was survived by wives, Mrs Ayisat Fatunbi and Mrs. Olaide Fatunbi; children, Jimmy Fatunbi (Editor of The Lagosian, Former Faculty of Arts President (Unilag) and Henry Carr Postgraduates’ Hall General Secretary), Oladehinde Fatunbi, Olukunle Fatunbi and Olajide Fatunbi; and grandchildren.

The Lagosian wishes papa peaceful rest in the bossom of the Lord.
