Dami Marshall, daughter of Fuji music icon King WasiAyinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1 or K1 De Ultimate, has dismissed rumours linking her romantically with Nigerian singer Asake.
Speculation about a possible relationship between the pair gained momentum after Dami shared a photograph of herself with Asake at a recent event. The post, which she captioned “Mr Money and Mrs Money” — a phrase closely associated with the singer’s brand — quickly sparked assumptions across social media that the two were dating.
Reacting to the reports, Dami clarified that the picture was taken during her first-ever meeting with the artiste and stressed that there was no romantic involvement between them.
“Guys, that was my first time meeting him, so I took a picture. Do not believe blogs; they can do anything for traffic,” she wrote on her Instagram page, dismissing the claims.
Asake, who is known for keeping his personal life out of the public eye, has not made any public statement regarding the rumours and has not confirmed being in a relationship since his reported split from his Gambian girlfriend, Madame Mystique.
