The family of Prince Emeka Obasi announces the passing unto glory of Prince Emeka Obasi, Ezenwata, Ibeku Kingdom.

Prince Emeka, the Publisher of Hallmark Newspapers, a business, policy and finance daily newspaper passed on, Tuesday March 15, 2022 at a Lagos hospital.

It was gathered that the former Abia State Commissioner of Information died after battling a protracted illness for about 8 years.

The Abia State born Veteran journalist was the founder and Executive Secretary of the Public Policy Research and Analysis Centre (PPRAC), organisers of the Zik Prize in Leadership Awards.

He is survived by wife, Dr (Mrs) Betty Obasi and Children – Emeka (jnr), Onyedikachi, Kamsi, Miracle, siblings aunties and uncles.
He was aged 58 years.

According to family sources, further burial arrangements will be announced in due course.
