A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the remand of Adeniyi Adeyemi at the Kuje Correctional Centre and directed an accelerated hearing of his case.
The court also fixed October 12 for the hearing of Adeyemi’s bail application.
The order followed proceedings in the case on Wednesday, with the court directing that the matter be handled expeditiously to avoid unnecessary delays in the judicial process.
Adeyemi was subsequently remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre pending further proceedings.
The development comes after the Federal Government reportedly arraigned Adeyemi over allegations linked to a purported fake government agency.
The court is expected to consider his application for bail when the matter comes up on October 12.
Further proceedings will determine the next stage of the case as the court continues its accelerated hearing.
